A healing herb: Serpents and Doves

  • Jesus told us, when we are dealing with people in the world,  to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16) As we all know, the world is a mess today. What is good is spoken of as evil and evil is spoken of as good. Everything is upside down. What is our responsibility as a Christian in these times?  If we are hurting, what about those who don't have Jesus? Because we know the ending, we can have hope. How can we give hope to people? Stand strong for the Lord but do it in a gentle and loving way. Love is what draws. It takes courage to love. You have to put yourself out there. You don't always know how people will respond. Love is a choice. Will you choose to smile at someone and say hello when you're in the store? Will you take time to listen and hear what someone is saying? Giving someone your time and attention shows love. You are showing them that they are important and that you want to hear what they have to say. Ask God to give you one person to love today and see what He does. You will be amazed and encouraged!
