STUDY: PROPHETIC DAY OF YAHVAH IS HERE! Part 1

  • STUDY: PROPHETIC DAY OF YAHVAH IS HERE! Part 1

According to Scriptural chronology, it is just over 6,000 years since Adam was expelled from the Garden of Eden. This is significant because prophetically we are now living in the period called “the time of the end,” when Messiah is expected to return and prepare the world for His righteous Kingdom and deliverance from this “presence evil world.”

To many, the second coming of Messiah is viewed as an earthshattering event which will be obious to all. If so, how do we explain this text describing his return “as thief in the night?” 1Th 5:2-4. We suggest that the second presence of Messiah is NOT a cataclysmic, single event, but a period of time during which he accomplishes the preparation of the world for his Messianic Reign.

    A.COMING? OR PRESENT?

Yahvahosha's disciples asked: “...what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world? Mt 24:3. Greek scholars agree that the word “coming” is a poor translation of the word “parousia—para, meaning beside or along side of, and ousia, a form of the verb to be. The thought is to be in the presence of another. Thus, this text would be more properly translated “what shall be the sign of thy presence...?”

The disciples' second question was, “What shall be the sign of the end of the world?” The Greek word world is “aion” meaning age. Thus Yahvahosha's answer would indicate that he would return at the conclusion of the Religious era—the Harvest. He did not mean the world would come to a literal end, for Yahvah declared in Eccl 1:4--”One generation passeth away and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.”

But what of these two questions? Yahvahosha did not leave his disciples without an answer. He proceeded in Matthew 24 to list several prophetic evidences which would be unmistakable indication of his second presence. Other Scriptural prophecies point out additional important signs, which clearly mark evidence of Messiah's promised presence. To Be Cont.
