"Your personal journey through life is all that matters. What doesn't
matter is your involvements with people and places. How many are already
wary about getting involved with other people? Do you know why? Because you
found contacts with other people is like contacting a beehive, not all
honey, buzz, buzz (Laughter).
You know the song, 'I Can't Give You Anything But Love.' Now I'm going to
give you the honest version of it, 'I Can't Give You Anything But
Neurosis.'
Now I started off by giving you an astonishingly loving fact, which is,
that your journey, adventure through life is the only thing that counts.
Now, you don't know that, and you'd better listen, you don't know
that your trip, your experiences, your contacts, being awakened in the
contacts, is the only thing that is important to you.
What have you made more important than yourself? I'm not talking about
selfish egotistical striving for yourself. I'm talking about something
grand and majestic - your personal opportunity to be something more than
you are now seated in this room."
