    Advent  2:

    Isaiah 7:10-14:    Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, “Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven.” But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!” Read more.

    Jeremiah 33:14-16:   ‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Romans 15:4-13:    For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

    Romans 13:11-14:    Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. Read more.

    Isaiah 40:1-11:    “Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.
    “Speak kindly to Jerusalem;
    And call out to her, that her warfare has ended,
    That her iniquity has been removed,
    That she has received of the Lord’s hand
    Double for all her sins.”
    A voice is calling,
