Someone asked me one day why it was that when the 144,000 are sealed as the twelve tribes of Israel against the wrath of God during the hour of temptation that comes upon the WHOLE earth, why it was that the tribe of Dan is not listed. I looked and sure enough, it appears that instead of the tribe of Dan, Joseph's second son was listed. This got me to researching Dan.
49 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord.
What horse could he possibly be talking about? Perhaps this one:
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
You see, that horse denotes the institution of using the money system rather than the barter system, doesn't the way a man handles his money tell you a lot about the man? Aside from that, how would Dan set the rider backward on this horse? Consider this:
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
I can't prove it but I believe this antichrist person will come from the tribe of Dan which is why Israel will trust him to make that famous treaty everyone has been talking about. I believe he will use Islam and Israel both and have a true allegiance with neither:
Judges 17 and 18 show that the tribe of Dan had participated in mixing idol worship with the Jewish priesthood, therefore combining the two religions. Islam is the personification of that.
Then there is the comment that Jacob made after he spoke what would be concerning Dan in the end times.
You might ask "What about the statue in the dream? Doesn't it prove a Roman rule when Christ destroys kingdoms?" I tell you that Christ already established his spiritual kingdom when he was resurrected and had the keys of death and hell and that happened during Roman rule. You might ask, "What about America?" America will likely be treated like Spain was when Islam invaded there. High taxes and Islamic law. They barely held onto their own culture and had to ask the Catholic church to intervene.
Consider this:
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
So you see, the beast and the woman, which is obviously the Catholic church (consider how it mixed the religions and held to pagan practices, consider the way they killed those who would not honor the popes over the creator and the savior), the beast will destroy the woman, therefore, she cannot be the beast, it's just not logical.
