The heart of Jesus' teaching has and will always be Love, this being the golden rule in the Bible.Because Jesus himself embodies love, through his sacrificial part on the cross we can say that the gospel itself is love. Real love should be displayed when in a place where one is experiencing the opposite of it, that is when one can say yes i truly loved! Love is never a trivial matter and love can never be measured, i would say love is immeasurable! And because of this the devil knows if there is one thing he can use to destroy people and even their lives is spreading that which is opposite of what God aimed the world to be. Hate is currently spewing everywhere in the world including churches and this is leading to a division and disunity in the church of God.
Love should not be in talk only but should be embodied both in the heart, mind and speech of a person! The feelings of the heart should not differ from either the mind or speech and vise visa but all should reflect as one! There should not be anything that will contradict to what words are spoken out and what the heart is feeling or what the mind is thinking but all should reflect in either vertical or horizontal, making it all in unison or lets say in layman's term they should all three come to an agreement!
What does the Bible teach us about love? Luke 6:27 - 32 gives us a summary of true love in the Biblical way! - But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.32 “ If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them" We can see that a comparison is made of how a sinner loves and how a believer loves. While the sinner will love only those who love them, believers of Christ Jesus should practice the deed to all people, meaning to his friends and enemies!
One thing that triggers to lack of pursuing the act of love is pain or abuse! Any form of abuse if not handled properly by the receiver can cause much worse than good. It does not matter the form of abuse, what matters is how a person will react to the abuse! Always be in a hurry to forgive under all circumstances, for this will always break the cycle that the devil spews in order to bring disorder!Just as our father in heaven is merciful, we also should perfect that example and accomplish that goal!
