Are You Available?

I heard the following song for the first time this morning. It is my new favorite song because it expresses my heart so well. God has great plans for us and wants to use us in special ways but we must be available to Him! Do you feel that He could never use you because you feel unworthy or unqualified? God can and does use imperfect vessels. We can never be good enough, worthy or qualified on our own. That is why we need HIM! Many times, I have heard friends of mine (David and Kathie Walters) say, “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” I am not sure if they are the originators of that saying but I totally agree with it! We can never be good enough or qualified enough on our own but when God calls us, if we are available, he will do the work that needs to be done in us so we are vessels fit for His service! Are you willing to trust Him, submit to Him, let Him do what He needs to do in you and be available for whatever He wants to do through you for His kingdom? Start by saying, YES, LORD!
