The Minion Protocols: Dark Powers (The Second Coming Chronicles Book 3) Kindle Edition
Will the dark, shadowy forces of evil win their perpetual war with the One who created them?
Until they destroy His crowning achievement – humankind – and ascend to the throne of God, the rebellious spiritual beings in the demonic realm will never rest.
Though a chance encounter on assignment as an investigative journalist with the Chicago Tribune, Clark Lansing learns of a fearsome Dimensional entity named Selaphiel that reminds him of a previous confrontation he had with similar beings. Clark connects with an elderly pastor friend he hasn’t seen for many years, and through his help pursues the most dangerous story of his career.
From a trip to Israel where he observes advanced technologies that seemingly backfire, to the Pentagon in Washington, DC where he encounters a secret military project assisted by demonic spiritual powers, to an astounding research facility deep under Colorado’s Rocky Mountains which the next world ruler inhabits, Clark’s life and that of his loved ones grows increasingly at risk.
In the meantime, an elitist Deep State group that controls the seven mountains of world and cultural influence does all it can to thwart Clark’s plan to expose the wickedness that soon may consume the earth. Aligned with Selaphiel and his fallen brethren, the G7 plots its rise to planetary dominance, all the while engaged in sexual trafficking for the pleasure of its members.
As the combined evil within the human and spiritual realms close in on Clark, bringing danger to all his family and friends, he receives unexpected help from someone named Q aligned with the president at the highest level of government. Plans and opposing counterplans come to a head with a dramatic conclusion in this final book of Terry James’ epic Second Coming Chronicles.

About the author
When Gary W. Ritter turned to the Lord Jesus Christ in 2005 and was given the free gift of salvation through the shedding of His blood, he began reading the Word of God. Since that beginning of his new life in Christ, Gary has read completely through the Bible close to thirty times.
Gary has studied Bible prophecy during much of this period and is a strong believer and advocate of the pre-Tribulation Rapture. Because of his love of reading, the book that changed his heart and mind was Left Behind. Gary saw the truth behind the fiction, subsequently verified that truth, and knows that God won’t allow His people to suffer the same fate as unbelievers during the seven-year Tribulation. That awful soon-to-come period has two purposes: 1) is to bring the nation of Israel to the point of belief in Jesus Christ as her Messiah so that they declare, “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!” and 2) to bring God’s wrath and judgment upon an unbelieving world that has not been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. There is no purpose for God to make believers endure what is meant for those who choose to disbelieve.
Back in the early 90s after a rather unpleasant divorce, Gary got the notion to start writing. He took classes and went to seminars, even took the Writer’s Digest course. Gary discovered at that time that he wasn’t particularly clever and didn’t seem to have much knack for short stories, so he wrote a novel. It was heavily autobiographic of his situation and not very good, but he kept at it and ended up writing seven novels during that period. The publishing world is notoriously difficult to break into through normal channels, and none of his novels got published.
Although Gary continued to think about writing, he let it slip for a number of years until about 2013. He found a website called www.FaithWriters.com and discovered they had a weekly writing challenge. They provided a topic that participants had to write to and a word limitation of 750 words. Gary decided to just start doing it, and by writing a short story every week, he accumulated about 130 stories, a number of which were highly ranked ones in the FaithWriters’ Editors’ Top Ten. He’s turned those entries into the several books of short stories you can see on his website or at Amazon.
In that time period of writing short stories, Gary decided to tackle another novel. That turned into the Whirlwind Series with Sow The Wind, Reap The Whirlwind, and There is A Time. Since then Gary has released The Tattooed Cat and Alien Revelation (Sept. 2019). He is currently working on a novel that delves into eco-terrorism.
All of Gary’s books are written from a Christian worldview that highlight God’s grace—just as Gary was saved by that same grace. They also show the flip side of God’s character. The trouble today in our Christian culture is there’s such an emphasis on grace that we forget God must also judge the wicked and condemn them through His wrath.
Gary’s books are realistic and powerful. They demonstrate the struggles many have in coming to the Lord in true faith. Spiritual warfare in its many forms is integral to Gary’s stories. Jesus has already won the victory over sin, but we in real life must fight the battle every day, just as Gary’s characters must as well.

Being a Christian-oriented work, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are naturally the source of ultimate good of this universe, while Satan and his fallen angels represent ultimate evil.
Though the book is a work of fiction, it is based on actual Christian theology, recent world happenings, advanced technology, and reports of miraculous events such as those that occurred in Israel's Six Day War in which the tiny nation overcame staggering odds to emerge victorious in 1967.
I found “The Minion Protocols” always kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
My desire to be as strong and faithful as Suzie in asking God to use me for His glory.
The characters are well described (some so descriptively I pretty much figured who in real life was probably being parodied in the book). I could practically hear the sweet and gentle voices of the pastor and his wife, possibly because I have grown up around loving, thoughtful (not weird) pastors and elderly saints in the Lord who knew their God and trusted Him completely.
Though not a fan of the QAnon stuff, and haven't made up my mind about their role and ultimate goals in our real world, it was an interesting concept to include a few characters with those connections.
It is very "science fiction" coupled with the beliefs of the "Pre-Trib snatching away of Christians" held by many Bible scholars. The few mentions of sexual conduct were discreetly written.
My take on the whole book was that it was very interesting. Terry and Gary concluded the story in a satisfying way for those of us who love Jesus. IF you are not a believer in Jesus but enjoy science fiction, I suggest that you read this book, then question your destiny...for that part of the book is non-fiction. We each have a final destiny determined by the decisions we make NOW about the One who loves us so much. Those decisions follow us into the afterlife with no "do-overs".
TRIGGER WARNING: IF you have been abused in any way by those participating in the occult or child perversion, if even the mention of those topics brings up fear in your heart (whether you are a follower of Jesus or not), you might be triggered in parts of several chapters. While the Minion Protocols does not go into gross descriptions, it does have a storyline where the characters must deal with this kind of wickedness. I have not been abused in that manner but still had a visceral reaction to those parts of the story line.
IF you have been the victim of such wickedness and need healing, and/or do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, help is available. I would be willing to bet that the moderators of the website mentioned above would have resources to share to point you to this particular kind of healing and, without a doubt, would love to introduce you to Jesus!
