The Prayerful Word - May 7

  • Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him [God] because He cares for you.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to {and} beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God's service,

Titus 3:4-6 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Hosea 6:3 So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.

As you turn to the Lord in your deep trouble, anguish and grief, may you find favor with God, and peace, as He grants you what you ask of Him. 1 Samuel 1

May you graciously and gladly give to God that which He asks, and that which you have promised, for what you have was given by God to begin with. 1 Samuel 1

May your heart rejoice in the Lord as He increases your strength and delivers you from your enemies, for there is no one holy like the Lord, nor is there any Rock like our God, Who is a God Who knows and by Him deeds are weighed. 1 Samuel 2

May you know and understand that it is not by your own strength that you prevail, for even strong ones who oppose the Lord will be shattered when He thunders against them from heaven, but He will guard the feet of His saints as He gives strength to His king and exalts the power of His anointed. 1 Samuel 2

May you acknowledge through obedience the authority of the One Who has healed, delivered, and raised you up, even when it goes against the traditions and restrictions of the system you are accustomed to. John 5

May you find yourself unable to do anything by yourself, so that by turning to the Son He can, through you, do what the Father is doing, and by honoring the Son, you may honor the Father. John 5

My child, do you long for freedom in your heart and spirit to worship Me unhindered? Do you pray for the power of My anointing to see miracles occur in people's lives? These are good things to desire, and I have placed the hunger in your heart; therefore I am teaching you what you must know and how you must walk so that I can answer your prayer and satisfy your hunger.
I want you to understand that where My Spirit is, you will find freedom from doing works to be saved, liberty from following traditions to gain favor, independence from obeying customs which dictate how to praise and serve Me.
My burden is light and My yoke is easy – Love Me first and most, then your neighbor as yourself, doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly. Give up the dishonest weights, the double standard, and be sensible and honest with yourself, realizing there is no prayer you can pray other than “Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner!”
I will exalt those who humble themselves and enrich those who know they are poor in spirit, but all who are sufficient in themselves will find nothing they desire from Me. When you humbly follow My commands rather than proudly obey man's customs, I can give you My anointing.
You will find that you are restricted by My anointing in what you can do, and there is no freedom through My anointing for what you can choose. You are empowered only to do My Father's works and speak His words of life, esteeming others above yourself, serving them in ways that bring you no glory and earn you no praise.
When the anointing of My Spirit rests upon you, you truly are a servant, owned by your Master and given a job to do. He must become absolute Lord over your life, your mind, your will, your desires, over every interest and every influence. I emptied Myself before the Father of every privilege, every honor, every entitlement, even the right to have My own opinion, and became obedient, as a servant, to the work He sent Me to do.
Do you see the joy set before you, as I did, to know that the Father is just and righteous, honoring and rewarding those who faithfully follow Him and obey His leading? Rejoice, for after the sorrows of the sowing and the weeping in the night comes the joys of the in-gathering and the wedding feast of the Lamb.

May you rejoice in the great spiritual wealth of redemption in Christ and the divine presence of God which you have received as the Lord has brought you out of captivity, giving you boldness, confidence, and strength so that your former masters were glad to have you gone because of the dread which had fallen upon them. Psalm 105

May the Lord cover you, protect you, lead you, and provide your needs and desires as you walk with Him and learn His ways by seeing His acts while He prepares you to receive His holy promise. Psalm 105

May you rejoice among God's people and shout with joy among His chosen ones as the Lord brings you out of captivity and gives you the land He has promised, making you heir to what others toiled for, so that you may keep His precepts and observe His laws. Psalm 105

May the increase of the kingdom of our God be without end, to the glory, honor, praise, splendor, and dignity of our king; but may the enemy of our Lord be found without subjects to his ruin, destruction, devastation, and dishonor. Proverbs 14:28

May you be slow to anger and your patience increase so that you may gain great understanding and show much wisdom and intelligence, leaving behind a short temper and a hasty spirit of impatience which displays stupidity, promotes foolishness, and exalts folly. Proverbs 14:29
